Any bread would work in this recipe. If you choose a different type of bread just make sure you have at least 14oz of it.
I love making my own eggnog from Lauren’s recipe at Oatmeal with A Fork, but if you don’t choose to do that the So Delicious brand has an excellent one that has very clean ingredients.
I cut this recipe in half and bake it in an 8×8 pan if it is just the 4 of us. A 9×13 would be dangerous if left in the fridge calling to me at all hours of the day. 😉
