Clean Eating Apple Cereal

This post has been revised from it’s release in 2014. Enjoy!

Clean Eating Apple Cereal is the next big thing!

Are you wondering what in the world I am talking about? Well let me explain. 🙂

This little gem of a recipe is perfect for a simple breakfast, dessert, or snack.

Pink Lady and Granny Smith apples cut up and used in a healthy homemade cereal recipe.

You literally feel like you are eating cereal with the crunchy apples and seeds but it is completely healthy and flavorful!

Use whatever nuts, seeds, or milk that you have on hand, but be sure to measure so you don’t over-indulge in the seeds or nuts.

Those little babies hold a LOT of calories!

Beautiful bowls of vegan apple cereal with Manitoba Heart hemp seeds.

This has been a go-to snack item for me for a few years now. I love the texture, flavor, and the way I feel after I eat it. Gone are the days of scarfing down bowls of cereal and then feeling sluggish and sick to my stomach.

Now I can eat this low glycemic Clean Eating Apple Cereal and feel energized and know that I put tons of nutrient-dense foods in my body to help fuel it!

Though I am not vegan or vegetarian, I love this plant based meal!

Clean Eating Apple Cereal Ingredients:

-apple

-plain unsweetened almond milk

-vanilla extract

liquid Stevia

hemp seeds

cacao nibs

ground flax seed

-sliced almonds

Diced apples, ground flaxseed and cacao nibs in almond milk.

Feel free to substitute any “super foods” you have on hand!

Dairy free coconut or cashew milk can easily replace the almond milk. Chia seeds, pepitas, pecans, or even walnuts would be a great addition as well.

I prefer using liquid Stevia to sweeten my unsweetened plain almond milk, but you may not need any added sweetness.

Two other sweeteners I love are coconut sugar and pure maple syrup. They would be a great flavor addition to this recipe!

A little dried fruit such as dried blueberries or strawberries would be a great addition as well!
