Biography Written by Sammi Ricke
We decided to write each others bios because good friends often see your strengths and beauty more clearly than you can see it in yourself. Enjoy!
Sarah Koontz is a Midwest girl who enjoys laid back country living with her husband Ryan and their two little girls. Her lively stories about raising children, chasing chickens, and caring for her 5,000 sq ft vegetable garden will inspire you to get outside and get your hands dirty. She is passionately pursuing her best life and winning her own personal battle against fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
Sarah has a big personality! She is serious yet silly, confident, smart, creative, and a natural born leader. She is incredibly generous while still living frugally. Sarah is a friend for life. She is committed to her relationships and invests all she has into them. She is also an ideas person and once she gets one in her head there is no stopping her until she has made it a reality.
Sarah recently launched a second blog at SarahKoontz.com, and I am so glad she did! Sarah hopes to use this second platform to inspire people to embrace the story God has inscribed on their hearts. She focuses her writing on how God’s love transforms the broken pieces of our lives into something beautiful and full of purpose. You can follow Sarah’s other blog on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Sarah’s sweet little girls are the apple of her eye, and her love and respect for her husband is unmatched. She is a “closet crunchy-granola mama” (this is a direct quote) but don’t confuse that with someone who doesn’t have style because she can put together a one of a kind outfit in 30 seconds flat.
Sarah’s talent for writing is second only to her passion for helping others. She has worked alongside her father Ray D. Strand, M.D. since she was a teenager and has helped thousands of people regain their health through positive lifestyle change. She is currently working on a book project with her dad and is grateful for the opportunity to help share his powerful message of Nutritional and Preventive Medicine with the next generation.
Sarah Koontz loves networking with other bloggers and writers on Facebook & Twitter and is always encouraged when readers take a moment to comment on her articles or share them on social media. I am so thankful to have such a great “sistafriend” by my side to share this blog with and most importantly to have in this crazy adventure called life. -Sammi
